Do you work with engineering colleges?
Yes. Through AptPath, a separate SmartX business, and its Ignite campus programme, we work with engineering colleges on skills, projects and placements. That gives our education teams a practical view of how students, faculty and placement officers use software every day.
Can you integrate with our existing LMS?
Usually, yes. We integrate with Moodle, Canvas, Google Classroom and other platforms through LTI 1.3, APIs or data exports. If your current learning management system cannot integrate cleanly, the Research gate will say so and recommend the least disruptive option.
How do you protect student data?
We collect only what each feature needs, apply role-based access and log every view of sensitive records. We design to the DPDP Act in India and to FERPA or GDPR where they apply, with parental consent flows when learners are minors.
Will AI mark student work automatically?
Only as a first draft. AI suggests a score with its reasons, and a faculty member confirms or changes it. Final grades stay with people. During the prototype we measure how often AI suggestions match faculty marks and share the results before anyone relies on them.
