SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEERING
Site reliability engineering services for products people rely on
Our site reliability engineering services set clear reliability targets for your product and build the monitoring, alerting and incident routines to meet them. You know when users are affected and what happens next.
Reliability Review
- Draft SLOs for your most important user journeys
- Alert audit showing noise, gaps and ownership
- Incident and capacity risks ranked with recommended fixes
WHY IT MATTERS
What site reliability engineering services change for you
Reliability without targets turns into guesswork and alert fatigue. We define service level objectives with your product owners, then use error budgets to decide when to ship and when to fix. Our SRE consulting stays practical: fewer alerts, faster recovery and calmer on-call rotas.
CAPABILITIES
How we make production dependable
Service level objectives
We agree what good service means for each user journey, then set measurable targets that product and engineering both accept.
Monitoring and tracing
Metrics, logs and traces brought together in one observability stack, so engineers can move from an alert to its cause quickly.
Incident management
Clear severity levels, on-call rotas, runbooks and blameless reviews that turn each outage into a fix that lasts.
Capacity planning
Load tests and growth forecasts that show when systems will reach their limits, well before a launch or seasonal peak finds them.
Toil reduction
We find repetitive manual operations work and automate it, freeing engineers for improvements that prevent the next incident.
Resilience testing
Controlled failure drills on databases, networks and third-party dependencies to prove that failover and recovery work as designed.
USE CASES
When teams call us
Peak season ahead
An e-commerce or ticketing team expects a traffic spike. We load test, plan capacity and rehearse failures well before the date.
Pager fatigue
Engineers are woken most nights by alerts nobody acts on. We cut the alert list down to the ones tied to user impact.
Client portal in filing season
A CA practice runs a client portal through tax deadlines. We set uptime targets and monitoring that hold under deadline-week load.
The same outage, again
One failure keeps coming back. We run structured reviews and track each fix until the root cause is properly closed.
HOW WE DELIVER
Five gates. You sign each one.
Every Site Reliability Engineering engagement runs on PRISM OS. Nothing moves to the next phase until you approve the evidence.

WHY SMARTX
Why SmartX for Site Reliability Engineering
Targets before tools
We agree reliability targets with your product owners before choosing dashboards, so monitoring reflects what users actually experience.
Fewer, better alerts
Every alert must link to user impact and a runbook. Alerts that fail that test are removed or turned into reports.
Blameless reviews
Incident reviews look at systems and process without blame, which brings honest answers and fixes that last.
Growth forecasts built in
We model load from your sales and launch plans, so you add capacity months before limits are reached.
TOOLS WE USE
The stack, chosen per problem
ENGAGEMENT MODELS
Choose how we work together
Every model keeps the same signed gates, fixed milestones and full code ownership.
Gated delivery pod
A senior pod owns the outcome from Problem Brief to production, priced per gate so you can stop at any signature.
Dedicated engineers
Engineers who join your team and sprints, with PRISM briefs and evidence reviews added on top of your process.
PRISM OPS retainer
Hosting, security and a monthly improvement budget, run by the same engineers who built the system.
SELECTED WORK
Evidence, not promises.

FAQ
Questions before you book
Not covered here? Ask on the call.
What is an SLO and why does it matter?
A service level objective is a measurable reliability target for something users care about, such as checkout succeeding within two seconds. It gives product and engineering a shared definition of good enough, and tells you when reliability work should take priority over new features.
Do we need a dedicated SRE team?
Not at first. Many teams start with SRE practices inside their existing engineering group, supported by us. As traffic and complexity grow, we help you decide when a dedicated role makes sense and how to hire for it.
Can you join our on-call rota?
Yes. Under PRISM OPS we can take first-line on-call for agreed services, with escalation to your engineers for product decisions. Response times and responsibilities are written down at the Plan gate so nobody guesses during an incident.
Which monitoring tools do you use?
We work with what you have where it fits, commonly Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog or New Relic. If your tooling has gaps, we recommend changes with the cost and migration effort set out before you agree.
